Tonight's the busiest night of the year in our house. Like how Thanksgiving is always at my uncle's, Christmas Eve is always hosted by my mom. That means everything has to be scrubbed, tidied, and put in its place until the house is immaculate.
So what am I doing? Hiding away in my room.
I think it's a little safer in here than my living room, where my mom's trying to convince my dad to rearrange the presents under the tree to look more "organized."
I'm definitely thankful, though. Money has been really tight for my family the last year or so. Things are finally starting to look up, and seeing the presents under the tree (even if they are a little "disorganized") is a little sign of that.
